Green green greens

That's this week's theme. We fermented some cabbage and stirred it up with pepper condiment oil to bring some extra zing to the Chorizo Chicken Chili.

The salad has actual lettuce this week: crispy buttercrunch with Sea Island red peas, spice-roasted roma tomatoes, Decimal Place feta, sunflower seeds and classic vinaigrette.

And the green menu item to put an end to all green menu items: Pasta e Fagioli but green. Pureed herbs and leafy green veg with macaroni, white beans, and yet more herbs. Another magic creamy-without-cream vegan wonder.

The sweets are not green, sorry. Just some really nice cookies for grown folks, the orange shortbreads with black peppercorns and pink peppercorns and citrus glaze.

And if you need something to brighten up your toast, sandwich or life, Apple butter with ginger and black cardamom should do the trick. I'd use it to glaze a ham or fill cookies but there are literally dozens of easier applications for you at home.
